December is dark month in Northern Ireland especially if the sky is filled with cloud. Recently, some days have hardly brightened at all which makes extra lighting in the studio essential. Taking photographs of finished artworks is best done on a bright but overcast day if photographing outdoors as I usually do. We have had some lovely crisp, clear, cold weather and even some frosty fog. I spotted this beautiful frosted leaf on the pavement when out walking one afternoon last week. I couldn't help but think it looked like a Christmas star.
